Rates
I charge 2.5 cents per square inch for all edge to edge designs. Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches (before quilting) 60 x 80 = 4800 x .025 = $120.

More dense designs will incur an additional fees and that cost will depend on the complexity and density of the design you choose.

My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that even a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. Also, I'm required by the State of Florida to collect a 7% sales tax on the batting sale portion of an invoice.

All fees except return shipping will be communicated and settled upon ahead of initial shipping.

Batting
I use and stock my favorite Quilters Dream batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend, 100% cotton, and in the 100% poly. I have limited quantities of wool batting in stock, please ask for availability.
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
Example pricing:
65" of 100% cotton deluxe loft @ $0.40/in = $26.00
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.33/in = $21.45
65" of 100% poly @ $0.26/in = $16.90

7% Florida sales tax will be added to all batting sales.

Thread
I stock both Glide (#40 & #50 weight) and some So Fine (#50) threads. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.
I will provide recommendations on thread color to match your top, but this is YOUR quilt! Let me know what your preference on thread color is.

Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me:
I live in Florida and would be happy to receive your top and backing by any means you choose to ship. I recommend the following when sending your materials:
-
Put the materials in a sealed bag before putting in the box (squish out the air as much as possible). If outside packaging is wet or damaged, this will prevent further damage.
-
Put a 3 x 5 card with you name and return address on it. This is so if the original packaging is damaged in shipment, the shipper will still have your information to return it to you.
-
Make sure the shipping and return addresses are clear and concise (avoid confusion)
-
Please be sure to use sturdy packaging to avoid damage during transit
Return shipping:
I will send your quilt back to you using the preferred method we discuss. I will provide you with tracking information as soon as it is available. Priority mail automatically comes with $50 of insurance, but please indicate if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. The additional insurance a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but it is not required.
